Personally I think gold leather looks best with YG. I have a noir one in rose gold and I wish it was YG!

It's really personal preference, but if you have a gold/gold B/K then you might want to pick gold so it matches. I chose rose gold as that tone works better for me. There's really not much of a discernable difference.

My gold Kelly has rose gold hdw. I didn't think too much about it when I bought it. I wanted a Kelly belt and I believe that was the only one available at the time in a neutral colorway. (I just wanted something neutral, combination didn't matter too much to me).
I tried it on and I liked it, and to this day it is my most used belt ever!
I feel like if the leather was a cooler color or cooler undertone, like etoupe, the warmth of the rose gold would contrast and stand out more.
But, for gold leather, tbh, I don't notice too much of a difference. I wear both YG and RG jewelry, so again, doesn't matter too much to me.

Hermes rose gold isn’t pink enough for it to matter so much that one option looks “bad” or “worse”!
Agree with the above in that the tone differentiation is pretty minimal. I also recall that there's another thread that's discussed how the RGHW sometimes "fades" to GHW.
I have RGHW on noir and do notice some miniscule fading.
I find the rose gold doesn't look all that different from yellow gold in a lot of lights, so I'd go with whatever is available.
