Kelly 28 GHW-Gold OR Gris Asphalt?

Hi all!

I am currently in south of France and after a few visits to Hermes boutique, I am lucky enough to decide Kelly 28 Gold hardware Epson Sellier in 2 different colours - between Gold and Gris Asphalt.

Both colours look amazing but I was originally interested in Gold as it is my very first Kelly. However as soon as I saw Gris Asphalt, I also fell in love with it.

One problem is I was / am still interested in Retourne (in-stitch), Togo leather.

First I need ro decide what colour I want to buy and let the SA know by end of today. And as I am still interested in Retourne, he is happy to hold the colour I chose for the next 2 weeks and let me decide if they have Retourne in that time period on the condition it is in Gold or Gris Asphalt.

If you were in my shoes, what would you do?

Like I said, it is my bery first kelly. I am planning to use the purse daily and for a work too and that is why I was interested in Retourne.

Your opinions please, ladies!!

Both look gorgeous on you, but my vote goes to the Gold for daily/work use. The GA looks dressier, especially in Sellier. Congratulations, and welcome to the forum!

I would choose gris since I find gold colour more casual and I wear a lot of black suits/dresses for work and gris would compliment them better. Goodluck deciding.

The gold looks better with the outfit that your wearing in the pic. It’s more causal. GRIS is definitely dressier

GA as it can be dressier and is still ok with your outfit in the picture. Retourne are a lot easier to come by. So take the Sellier and run!

I would opt for the Gris.. It's a more interesting color & works with so much in ones wardrobe

Do you need to buy a Kelly in the next two weeks? It's a big purchase to rush on.

Sellier and retourné are pretty different. I use both daily and sellier is hard to find, but if you prefer retourné, I would wait.
Personally between these two colors I would take Gold, but I do not like Epsom leather.

Make gold in retourne b or k your next goal

Hermes Gold is the best color ever. So rich. So yummy. So versatile. Go for gold!

I prefer the gold for day to day use Warmer color and goes with a wide range of things/seasons.

I would go with Gris. You said you want it for work so I like the structures look of the sellier and the gray is a bit more formal. I also like Gris in epsom more than gold. If your work environment is super casual go with the gold.

Your so Lucky to choose which color you want, I like GA .. for sellier if you think you will only have 1 Kelly just wait for the one you like ..

I had a gold sellier kelly once. It was my first kelly. I just didn't LOVE it and it was hard to get in and out of and it was a 32.

Hermes is such a big investment, if I were in your shoes, I'd wait two weeks til I see the retourne, then decide.
