Kelly 25 Sellier Gold or Black

Hello,

Please help me choose my first Kelly bag as I am torn between those two colors. Currently I have a B25 Nata Sellier and looking to add a darker color for my first Kelly, thank you

Personally, I think a gold would be more versatile. But, if you are looking for a dark neutral, then get black

A larger retourne gold and a smaller sellier gold are two entirely different looks ( here is a B30 gold swift, phw and a B25 gold sellier epsom, phw).

Black is usually the go to, but for your first Kelly the 25 strikes a nice note in the gold
& the gold color is particularly beautiful, JMO

Thanks dear, yes I am torn as I feel like I know black is classic but other colors of Hermes are classic too and beautiful

Because Nata and Sellier is a dressy bag I would go for Kelly in gold. It could work for both casual and dressy occasions.

You could also just consider getting a dark green (vert fonce, vert cypress), dark blue (bleu nuit) or dark grey (graphite). If I had the choice, I’d trade in my black Kelly’s for these other dark neutrals as Hermes does color so beautifully.
