Keeping Ophidia GG Supreme mini bag clean

I will be purchasing my third Gucci next week. It will be my first in the classic canvas. I've always admired the canvas as I like the classic look and feel to it but have been concerned about how to keep it clean. Does anyone have tips on keeping this material clean?

I have two Ophidia GG Supreme bags (dome and small shoulder) and I haven't done any cleaning so far.

I agree with @papertiger that the material is pretty sturdy.
