The two-tone looks lovely! Makes the dial stand out more than the all-silver.

LOL, I recognize those photos- from whimike at The Watchstand on ebay :) will you be getting it from him? I have bought Rolex from him before, he is a very reputable reseller

He takes spectacular photos of his watches for sale.

I bought an Air-King from him, and just last week, an 18K gold Submariner with black dial.

I would be doing the trade in through my local AD where I purchased my watch, I just thought these pictures really captured the watch well!

Does anyone know exactly how the Rolex trade in works?

-LOL, you go in, they give some ridiculously low trade-in and then you buy the new watch (somewhat tongue-in cheek)

Just like a car, they say what the trade-in will be, you accept and upgrade, less the trade-in price, or decline and ? (I have done it, at least that;s how it worked for me)

chanel-girl - Yes, I have the same one as the pictures. You won't regret with the white MOP! I'm glad I chose the white MOP, it's just fascinating to see how it 'glitters' at different angles. Can't wait to see your watch soon. :graucho:

Nvie, you have this exact watch, with MOP diamond dial right? Your pics look amazing and makes me really like the look of the 2-tone with MOP!

A year ago when I got my all white Rolex I thought that the 2-tone was a little busy but now I think the 2 tone looks elegant & very classic, what do you guys think?

I bought the stainless nd white gold with MOP diamond dial a year ago, I LOVE the MOP! So worth the money! Pics of my "actual" watch are posted around, but they just don't do it any justice compared to these pics. I am just deciding if I should get the same watch(with MOP Diamond dial) in 2-Tone. I am in love with the MOP so I would definitely not change that!

hmm I'm wondering how low the trade in well be?? I remember my AD said the longer you have the watch the better it will be when you go to trade in, I guess more price increases...I have only had it for a year so I'm not sure how that would work, it wouldn't be worth it to have to pay for the whole watch again or even half of it! :sweatdrop::faint:

-I honestly can't remember the kind of trade-in prices they gave me - it was a few times for different watches, but it was a good 5 years ago so I can't remember the numbers.

The only one I do remember, I wanted to sell a yellow gold midsize with factory diamond bezel; I had bought it at least 7 years before, it was in beautiful condition. They had someone who was looking for that exact watch. I paid around 11,000.00, maybe 12,000.00 for it way back when - 12 or so years ago now.

The AD offered $9,000.00, I said no, I'd rather keep it. Then he immediately came back with 11,000.00, I took it, because I was upgrading to a Masterpiece. maybe I should have held out for more, who knows? Because they sure as hell were going to tack on as much as possible when they sold it to the person who wanted it.

It's like, as soon as you accept a price (whether for a car or watch or jewelry), you know it was too low, LOL.

I am more savvy about Rolex and prices for pre-owned in particular now. And I am sorry I sold the watch! I bought another one preowned, not in as perfect condition as my original, but oh well what could I do? New prices had risen exponentially, I couldn't afford another new one.

I am in the same postion with my ladies stainlesss steel/platinum Yacht Master. I am thinking of trading it in for a two tone mid size Yacht Master as all of my watches are either stainless steel, white gold or ceramic, I think it would be nice to have a little variety.

However, if this is your one and only watch, I would keep the one that you have, it's lovely and it goes with everything.
