I bought this watch last week from Ruelala. I've heard very mixed reviews about Lucien Piccard timepieces and the price range seems to vary from cheap to really expensive. I havent sized it yet because I dont know if Im keeping it. I do wish the sapphires were more brilliant but maybe Im just being picky. Its also my first automatic movement watch. Do I really need to use a winder box? :p

I do kinda like it. White watches are showing up everywhere and this one is unique. If the price was right, and the style fits you, I'd keep it.

I thought it was different. I just wish I could find out if the movement is crap or not. The brand doesnt seem to be very popular. This watch supposedly retails at $2600 but I got it for $360.

Agree - doesn't look like it is worth thousands but at the price you paid it is nice. Is it ceramic?
I dont get the sticker price AT ALL. Lol. Yes, it's ceramic.

It's cute, but defnitely 360 cute. Not thousands cute.

Thanks ;)

I figured it would be cute with jeans and a tee. Although, next to my blinged out tag, this seems like a kiddie watch. I have pretty classic taste but I figured it seemed like a good deal, why not? Lol. Ive seen similiar style watches like Michael Kors, Juicy, etc for a couple hundred dollars. Im somewhat justifying the price that I paid for the movement and Ive never seen a watch like this with the sapphires.

I hate to ask this question, but was it a lot in your opinion? If you feel it was a lot of money, then return it. You are not happy with the sapphires. However, if it is inexpensive, then keep it. It is a pretty piece.

It wasnt cheap but I dont think it was expensive either. An expensive watch for me would be over $1000 (not retail of course ;)). I think the problem is that I have earrings/ring set by Judith Ripka thats simulated sapphires and theyre actually really pretty and bright. In comparsion, these didnt seem as bright but in thinking about it, maybe thats an unfair comparison.

More than likely a standard grade ETA movement if it is selling for $360. The fact that it says Swiss Made is a good indicator that it isn't a Miyota movement. When you pull the crown out, does the second hand stop?

You do not need a winder. Just give it a few turns every week depending on how much you wear it.

The item description says swiss automatic movement. When I pull it out all the way, it stops. Thanks for the tip. :)

Yeah, the more I look at it the more I'm appreciating it. It is really different. Plus I like the details such as the subtle face background. And I saw a similar model online with numbers..I like this one MUCH better. I'm saying keep it. JMO :-)

Question though, in the "totally worth it/not worth it" thread you said you were over anything with a heart. Does the heart on this bother you?

Lmao, busted!!! :p Thats a teeny, tiny heart though! I have a lot of actual heart jewelry and the memories behind them make me wanna vomit.

I actually almost bought the one with numbers but after I saw mine, I found them to be a bit much.

This one is on ebay for $1,600. Whos paying these prices- I really wonder!

With the hacking ability it probably is a standard grade 2824 movement. If you could open the back up and get a picture you could probably find out for sure. Sounds like it is worth what you paid, so if you like it wear it. An ETA movement is easily maintained and will last forever.
