hubby surprised me with a gift totally not on my radar..(2nd and 3rd pic) but actually am loving it… I had the 25 hobo on my list (first pic) or the gold mini flap (last pic) but thinking this gift will look beautiful and versatile with a twilly. I can only have one. Has anyone seen this retro twist flap bag with the larger diamonds before? I believe it’s from 24p? Thoughts? It’s nice that it had feet as well… I am worried about the stitches getting dirty and color transfer 😭 but hoping the handle with a twilly would help. Any experience with white caviar would be appreciated and your vote!

I'd be wary of a white top handle personally. The one you wish for and the one you were gifted are so vastly different. You'll still wish for the 25 IMO! I'd exchange, if he's like my DH, he wants you to have what you want.
Thank you! I really appreciate the thoughtful advice. As for white top handles.. do you think a twilly is a bad option?

I wouldn’t reach for it often, but that’s just me!
I’d be worried about the twilly matching each time, damaging it, etc…
Since I’d be worried, I’d just carry the bag on special occasions and be careful!

I believe that I’ve read that someone here used a twilly on a white Chanel bag, and even in a short period of time, there was a difference in shade of white between the handle and the body. (I assume the white oxidized slightly? ) So I personally wouldn’t do it.

Agree with other responses above that your DH would want you to have your first choice. (I love the 25 in the crisp white myself, but it’s sadly not my style)

ETA: @LiveLoveBags , I didn’t mean to denigrate white Chanel bags. I love them too :) Go for what you love and wear and enjoy

I love white bags, I'm not afraid of them! But understandably if part of a skin is exposed to air, humidity, light, etc... it'll "age" differently than one that's protected (covered by twilly)
I wouldn't choose a white bag I'd carry by hand unless it's a special occasion bag that would be carried with care, like a clutch. That's just me!

I read complaints about white Chanel bags turning yellowish and switches getting darker than the bag with time. I had a similar dilemma to yours and I personally could not bare the thought of wearing a white lambskin flap and exchanged it for beige caviar. But I don't like to worry about my things and I throw my stuff around, so I just prefer more carefree materials. I love white bags and am thinking maybe I can manage with a white WOC.

Thank you all for taking the time to share your thoughts! I’ve decided to keep the white caviar bag as I’ve had a white bag on my list …I do like the shape and top handle. I don’t plan to carry it as an everyday… and more of a special occasion or dinner date night bag. I went to try on the 25 and feel it might be trendy so I think for now I am leaning more classic with this top handle. May still have to add a 25 down the line in a color that I can throw around more than a white one as I find the bag to be casual and more practical. The SA casually threw a twilly on top just so I could see what it’d look like and I loved the versatility of it. Hoping the handle and base don’t age in such a drastic difference 🤞

I saw the white 25 in person and it was just so...white, it stressed me out for a big practical everyday bag. Personally I think that a white bag is easier to look after if it's small - and as a special occasion bag vs something you'd want to throw around!

That said white matches with everything and it was such a gorgeous colour. I ended up going with the baby pink even though it matches with less stuff than the white (I love the shade of pink as well) primarily because I felt the pink can "take" a little more dirt than white  black would be completely fuss free though.

If I were you I'd have done what you did! Congrats on your new bag!

Ok but can we talk about that shade of pink on the 25!? To die for. My thought process would validated getting a pink 25 as well. 😹 but would baby it the same as a white purse. Now that I’ve kept the white bag the pink 25 is on my list ☺️Let’s be honest anything not black is going to show the dirt so as my husband said “ stop worrying too much and just enjoy your bags” and that’s what I’m gonna do! I agree about white bags matching every occasion💕 also I think there’s something special about him picking it out. I did go have a look to see if there were any other white purses I fancied. But there were small things like… no feet.. no crossbody.. only lambskin(which I love also but not for a white bag)…and these were all on the checklist… so I arrived at the decision this was the one for me. I appreciate your input. How are you liking your 25?

We can be twins with the pink 25 when you get it heheh. Haha I don't want to worry too much but they are so expensive they need to be babied y'know?? But fair point on just enjoying it...!

And yes it is so sweet that your husband picked it out! My husband would never do that haha.

Feet on a white bag is SO important and useful, will definitely help you use the bag in a more carefree manner!

I only got the 25 bag on Monday and have been working everyday since so I haven't used it properly yet 😆 I did carry it for a while and got slightly annoyed at having to open/close the drawstring. My mom said, "it's like a zip" -- I don't like zipping my bags so yes definitely.. I'll report back after using it more!

The manager at the boutique who I’m friendly w saw me trying on the medium and when I asked about the small she said the strap doesn’t have a pad like the medium (they were sold out of the smalls) and large do so after carrying it for a while it digs in her shoulder and she would not recommend. I appreciated her honesty but I’m not running a marathon w the purse on. Usually I’m just running errands or going to lunch! But curious on how badly the chains dig in! Besides that, she’s perfect! I’m really petite so the medium looked silly on me… the only size I’d get is the small.
