Hi ladies! Long time lurker/new subscriber here.

I'd like to get a new wallet and am trying to decide between Kate Spade's Cobble Hill Lacey and the Cedar Street Lacey. The exterior of the Cobble Hill is a soft pebbled leather and the Cedar Street is a "crosshatched thick leather" (saffiano-like).

I currently own the Cobble Hill Little Minka. It's beautiful, feels really nice, but it is susceptible to scratches (not a huge problem after conditioning).

Any advice would be appreciated. Does anyone prefer one type of leather over the other for a wallet? Also, the Cedar Street costs $20 less. What's the deal with that?

I own a black Cedar Street Lacey. I bought it two years ago and it still looks brand new. I was also between the two, especially because the Cobble Hill feels so soft and luxurious. I like the weight of the Cedar Street though and I feel like wallets can get really scuffed up in purses with keys and what not. I feel like if I'm going to spend that much on a wallet I want it to really last, and mine has!

Sorry bad connection! I think the cedar street Lacey is the way to go, it will last longer with that leather :) and can handle wear and tear better

I love the look of Kate Spade's crosshatched leather. I have several wallets in that style leather and they have been very durable over the years. Good choice in the Lacey. I adore the wallet style!

Thank you! I have decided to go with the Cedar Street Lacey for the long term durability and overall sleekness of the wallet.

I was also shopping for phone accessories this weekend and came across a Kate Spade phone case/clutch made of the crosshatched leather. It felt really nice so I'm super excited!

Just to add my experience, I own a KS Cobble hill lacey and it is prone to scrapes, but particularly dents when heavy objects are placed on it or it sits next to something with a corner in my bag. I am careful with it so it doesn't bother me. For the price point I feel like it's ok if it's not indestructible. IMO the cedar street lacey is lesser quality than the cobble hill (reflected by price). I find it stiff, plastic-like, and generally not as "lux" looking.

I've to say I absolutely adore the Cedar Street Lacey! I don't like pebbled or soft leather for wallets especially when they can get buried in my bag or are often switched around. Also as a whole I own more items from the Cedar Street line because I like the clean, minimalist designs.
