Hey all,

With the holidays around the corner, I'm getting prepared to do some shopping. And of course, I would love to treat myself to something Kate Spade. 😁

I was curious to see if you remember what the Black Friday sales are like? I didn't look last year, but a girl I worked with got a full price bag on sale for 30 percent off. Based on your experience, is that usually as high as KS goes, is it for a day or the weekend? For the more experienced KS fans, are there any patterns that repeat every year? Do they offer great sales until Xmas, or is the best only on Black Friday?

I dont think Kate Spade's Black Friday sales have to be the only time to buy. They have comparable sales throughout the year. However, if it is a specific full price item you must have, then you might find it a good time to buy.

Last year boutiques and online had a splurge and save event over the Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Cyber Monday holiday.

Spend........Save
250............$50
500............$125
750............$225
1000..........$350

There was also an online Surprise Sale event for Black Friday which the item selection can be hit or miss. And it would be killer if they did it again, but Cyber Monday was 30% off the website.

But Kate Spade usually has some other sales (including 25% off) in early November, December, and after Christmas.

I *believe* the Black Friday sale (at least in my home store) was 25% or 30% off the entire store? I only bought a bracelet and don't remember the discount on it, however, so I could be completely off.

No because the surprise sale contains lots of outlet merchandise, whereas their Black Friday/Cyber Monday Sale will most likely be a tiered sale on boutique items (anywhere from 20% to 35% off) and 60% off plus an additional 20% off in outlets.

Last year the outlets did 50%+20% off your purchase. They had that sale for I think 2 days leading up to black Friday and then on black Friday they changed the sale around, i think, 6 am to 50% off everything with an additional 20% off handbags only. They've only done 60%+20% off your purchase once and that was July 1-5 2015. I'm hoping they will do 60%+20% off this year for black Friday but well just have to wait and see.

Hello :) I am totally new to Kate Spade. Saw a photo of the Glitter Bug Lacey and fell in love. When searching, I found both a black and dark blue Glitter Bug. I am guessing these are discontinued. Were they ever sold at the outlets? If so, how much? Trying to educate myself so I don't pay too much or buy a fake. Are there fake Glitter Bug wallets??

I think there are navy Glitter Bug wallets at the outlet right now. They added them about 1.5-2 weeks ago. :)

The dark blue glitter bug with a large spade was holiday season 2014. I believe it had a cream interior.

I saw that wallet on poshmark you linked. The cutout spade is usually for outlet items as is the style code on the tag which starts with a W. I'm not an authenticator or very familiar with outlet items. But I think the outlet line is called Mavis Street instead of Glitter bug if that makes a difference. And from the tag it looks like it is a Neda instead of a Lacey.

If you can get to an outlet easy, you might get a better deal. But this is likely a reseller who has marked the price up a little to make some profit.

Outlets currently have their version of the Glitter Bug line in store. They are also doing 50% plus an additional 20% off on your entire purchase.

Thanks for the info! I actually prefer the outlet version with the dark interior and cut out spade. Just gorgeous! That sale sounds amazing, but I have no outlet near me. I will keep an eye on all the resale sites. Thanks again!

You can always call them and order via telephone, I think their shipping is only $5 but I've never been asked to pay for shipping.
