Hello everyone. Hoping that someone could clear something up for me about Karos here in the UK. I've been looking (casually, not very actively) for a Karo here for the past 6 months or so and have never seen one. I've asked several SA's (I don't have a regular one) about them, and most had no clue what they were. I finally got someone today who told me that for some reason, the UK buyers never got them in for their stores. Is this true? I'd love to get the Karo GM size, and don't find the bebop a satisfactory substitute.

I can't confirm what you heard, but I would say I have never seen a Karo in the London stores I visit. Also the SA's do seem bemused when I mention it (though this happens about a lot of things!!)

^Haha, ITA with you Elise lady, DH is looking for a constance belt with the larger H buckle and he gets the same "bemused" expression before being told it's a rarity...

My experience is the same as CF's and Eliselady's.....when I've asked they look utterly bemused, same response when asking for a bastia despite seeing them in Selfridges :shrugs: I do know that Raz was offered one from the Royal Exchange store some while ago but that's the only one I've ever heard of in London

I have been looking for another Karo for the last 12 months and I can't find one at all in the UK. My SA did a UK search for me a couple of times and none have turned up in any of the UK stores. I got the same answer from my SA which was the UK stores don't seem to purchase them for some reason

I'm in France,this afternoon,I've asked for a Karo,and,my SA didn't know it,he has checked his reference book,and he didn't find it:confused1:.
I'll ask FSH tomorow to know more about it,but it seems Karos are not available in France:sad:.

It is bizarre that they don't buy them in the UK, whenever I ask in stores in the UK, the reply always includes "no we don't but lots of people ask for them" You would think if they keep getting requests someone would order some

When in Paris last year, I asked about the Karo and the SA had this kind of sigh. She said that I would have better luck buying one when I returned to the US. Read somewhere the US is the best market for SLGs because we American girls carry our lives in our purses. Maybe H has made its case based on this statistic.

Gosh! SO a Karo?

I've decided to check out the stores in the States, and am having much better luck there. Special thanks to Ms. Piggy who gave me the name of a truly lovely SA who has been very helpful. I can't believe that it has been more difficult to find a Karo than a Birkin!
