Karo availability?

I have read on tPF that the Karo will be discontinued, but also that it will be still be a part of the assortment. What is correct?

Does anyone know if the Karo is still available in Europe and if yes in what countries? I have been in contact with Hermès shops in three different countries and no one of the SAs that I have talked to had heard of it. Also I would very much appreciate if someone who has a Karo could post a picture of it in this thread which I could "borrow" and e-mail to my SA (it is a bit hard to explain what it looks like and it would be so much easier if I had a picture). Thanks in advance for your help!

The last time I saw the Karo was last year. I think some stores should have a left over stock.

We have been told in Canada that it is discontinued, but there have been several recent posts that say it is still going to be available in the US. And there is still, I believe, stock in stores. Good luck!

I have been told by the SAs that it is not discontinued. I have seen many Karo(s) this week in H stores Singapore, Hong Kong airport, and New York.

Not sure about Europe, but I saw many of them at the Charlotte, NC Boutique a few weeks ago. They had the pm and gm sizes available in an assortment of colors.

My SA said the Karo was in the Fall 08 podium book so that means it was available for stores to order. Neither my SA nor the one in Atlanta had heard it was discontinued.

I wonder if the confusion resulted from the design change of the Karo. The lining used to be a very light color but it was changed to a burgundy color. So, yes, technically, the Karo was discontinued (the one with the light-colored lining) but there is still the Karo with the dark lining.

I love the dark lining because it is much easier to keep clean looking.
