This PS Merit makeup bag showed up on TRR at a bargain price today.

I have one so I’m not knocking it but it’s definitely not leather. And my husband was so confused by the structure he texted me to ask if it was broken. 😂

The original design from Merit was a brown corduroy bag that I thought was hideous. It’s a Japanese style bag and it’s fine for organizing stuff on top of counters but no way would I carry it.

I like Merit’s makeup and needed to re-order anyway but the bag design is not practical.

My husband was also horribly confused by it:

Do you remember Man Repeller? I have clothes that are definitely man-confusing and my husband gets a kick out of commenting on them.

Agree though. I know what the design inspiration for this was (Japanese bags that tie at the top) but I hadn't gotten it for free there's no way I would actually pay for it. It's so funny that there are 4 or 5 of them on TRR right now, when the original price of the makeup that it came with was substantially less.

Oh yes, I do! I loved the Man Repeller! It was cool and funny and really miss it Seems like your husband has a good humor (and you, too)

I like the design idea of the bag - it is just so weird how they declared its purpose as a makeup bag.
I guess, on TRR the bags might be catching some dust...
