hi guys,
Can anyone help me on what I should do with this scratch? It looks really bad.
I just bought it two month ago, I’ve never touched it, and when I decided to use it, I noticed a scratched on it.
I’ve got an approval to return it, however I won’t be able to get the same bag since its a runway bag.

It has calf leather trimming
Coated fabrice outside
Man made lining

That’s too bad about the scratch, but I totally get the not using your new bag right away. I get that way about some of my new purchases also. You just want to wait for the right time.
Is the scratch under the flap? You’re so lucky to have gotten a runway bag. Perhaps that’s where the scratch came from? Did you ask if something could be done about the scratch in aftercare? Maybe it can be burnished out?

Keep us informed about what you end up doing.

It wouldn’t bother me too much (I may be a little annoyed initially) because it will be hidden by the flap the majority of the time. I’m sure with time you may get others and it will just be one more.

If you really like it and can’t get another, I say keep it but like someone said up top... your bag, your choice. We can’t make that decision for you.

It’s not literally a runway bag.

Honestly, you'd probably end up scratching the leather with use  but I've learned over the years to not be picky about flaw that could be caused by normal wear and tear. Especially one that would be covered by the flap.

If it really bothers you, why not try to have it repaired instead? A superficial scratch like that should be easy to repair.

This type of precious smooth leather is very prone to scratching, which contributes to the unique patina it develops over time (think Nomade or Ombré leathers used by Vuitton). If one scratch bothers you, this material is definitely not for you! Since you were granted an exchange, I suggest you go ahead and pick something less delicate.
