Jumbo vs. 2.55 227

Are the Jumbo classic flaps and the 2.55 227 flaps pretty much the same size? I was told that the 227 is still slightly smaller than the Jumbo and the 227 chain is slightly shorter than the Jumbo as well. Is that true? Also, do they hold about the same amount of stuff? Do any of you have both sizes? Which one do you use more and why?

They are pretty much the same size

Jumbo Flap 12" x 8" x 3"

227 Reissue 12" x 7.5" x 3 3/4"

i actually put them side by side at the store and the 227 was a little larger. I didn't try the strap so can't speak to its length

Almost the same size. Jumbo is much easier to use w/o the double flap that the 227 has. Although recent jumbos has been converted to double flap now so I think there is no much difference. Strap length of jumbo is longer than the 227.
