So I have wanted the JUC with diamonds forever! Finally this week, I went to get it and there didn’t seem to be a significant difference in size between the Regular JUC and the think JUC. Have the JUCs shrunk over the years? The first photo is from today, the second me trying JUC about 5 years ago.

I think the one without diamonds is chunkier. It seems to me. Did you end up getting it?

The second photo is from 5 years ago. My suspicion is that Cartier has been changing the size of the bracelet and the diamonds over the years. I really wanted this chunkier look but seems like the bracelets now are just thinner over all.

Not sure - but I purchased my diamond JUC approx 6 years ago and it looks identical to the one in your first photo. Also, the 2nd photo is blurry and in the opposite position, so comparing them with these specific photos is like apples to oranges..

Thank you so much for your comments. I hope you are right. I’ve wanted the JUC with diamonds forever but it just felt different today and I have been stalking it over the years. I couldn’t put my finger on it. I’m hoping someone who knows more than JUCs than me can enlighten. I have an older Panthere ring and the new one is nothing like it, the diamonds are fewer and smaller.

I think an easy way to know for sure would be to search for preowned JUCs in both the old and new styles. Often the seller or site would include the weight of the bracelet, so you can compare them this way (assuming both are the same size).

They honestly look the same size in your photos… perhaps over the years you’ve inflated your dream piece in your head? I hope not because it’s absolutely gorgeous! I just bought my diamond JUC regular size and it is HEAVY (whereas the small one feels like nothing on the wrist). I thought I would wear it 24/7 but I end up taking it off most nights because I find it uncomfortable and bulky.

Mine is a size 15 and weighs 30g FYI.

Another thing I've noticed (and maybe it's just me), but I think the diamonds around the nail head actually end up making the nail head look smaller than without. Trick of the light maybe?

This is why I prefer diamonds on the regular version, because it makes the very substantial nail head look smaller and less industrial. Whereas with the small JUC, the diamonds diminish the nail head and make it look less like a nail.

I wonder if anyone else feels this way too? This could possibly explain how you feel based on the pieces you have on in your photos

Quite possible! I was hoping someone would know the answer. I’ve heard that the small one gets bent out of shape so maybe the regular size is the way to go.

I know this is old - but my size 15 juc weighs 29g. Wonder why some jucs have less gold in it LOL

My first thought is that many scales can be off by a gram, so perhaps hers was or yours is.

If I am trying to measure something within a gram I need to take the measurement multiple times because it is often inconsistent.

Also, from a quick read online, it sounds like different gold colors and whether it is the old locking system or the new locking system may have a slight variance in weight.

Thanks for answering. Mine is rg with the new lock. I did verify it was 100g with a weight, and so I’m not sure if mine was off. Makes me feel like I got ripped off, LOL
