I bought a yellow gold JUC ring two days ago, and it really turns my ring finger and each finger beside it black. My hands and my jewelry are clean. I have multiple Love and Trinity rings. None of them have done this. Have any of you had this issue, and have you asked Cartier about it?

A friend has shared with me this encounter before. It helps by keeping the contact area dry. This link might shed some light.

My rose gold small JUC ring always leaves my finger black. My other rings don’t normally do this; and if they do, it is usually due to a chemical reaction with hand sanitizer. However, my JUC is the worst offender in my collection - I have tried cleaning it numerous times, and have used different methods (including the Cartier cleaning kit). Does anyone else experience the dark marks on a consistent basis, or is it just me?

I have a yellow gold JUC ring, and it does the same thing. I have 9 Cartier rings, and the only one that does this is the JUC. I’ve heard other people on YouTube talk about the JUC doing the same. Unless it really bothers you, I wouldn’t worry about it. The black comes off when you wash your hands.

Oh yes, I know - but it comes back immediately after washing. Very annoying! I find it so interesting that others seem to have the same experience with the JUC. I really wonder what it is about this ring that seems to cause the issue. Thanks for sharing!

I wear a WG double wrap pave JUC everyday, it’s never happened to me
This tends to be an issue with yellow and pink gold rings (not just from Cartier) due to the alloys in the rings, and how they react with skin. Thinking my next purchase might be white gold! As far as I know, I haven’t read about this happening with white gold. I do love that double wrap JUC!
