I really want to buy a JUC ring (not sure which yet) but have seen video reviews that mention that the nail head digs into their finger leaving a red mark and gets caught in their hair. I have also read that you should size up so that the nail head doesn't dig into your finger when your fingers swell up in the heat.

Has anyone here who has a JUC ring had this experience?

I also own the small version. Yes, it always leaves a red mark and slight indentation on my finger (my skin is very sensitive and reactive), but I don’t find it painful. However, if you are in between sizes, definitely go with the looser fit. I really debated between 2 sizes and I’m so glad I went with the looser fit. It’s a ring where you definitely notice it’s presence on your finger and I would not want it even slightly tighter than it is now.

I would say when I first got it I could feel it and once I started wearing it, I got used to it and never noticed it. It's definitely on the looser side. I wear mine on my index finger and it also fits my thumb.

It's not painful but annoying at times. It's definitely not an every day ring for me. I don't think you know until you own it and wear it because when I tried it on in the boutique it was fine, it wasn't until I wore it for a few days that it annoyed me.
Having said that I do really like the ring and I'm happy I have it!

Regarding the finger:
I believe I got mine in 2017 or 2018. Within a week of buying it, had to go down a size and I'm glad I did.
I remember wearing it in my room and decided to do a hand shake and the ring went flying.

Yes the head of the nail does make a small indentation in my finger but I don't find it uncomfortable or painful. I usually don't notice or feel it tbh.

I wear rings often, so overtime, I've noticed my fingers becoming more narrow overtime and now my current JUC ring is too big during the winter and it needs to be stacked. It does fit better in the summer but I still stack it.

The only time I've felt discomfort is when I fell asleep with it on, stacked with another ring, and my fingers swelled up.
So I'll wear it during the day and take it off at night when I sleep. The indentation goes away quickly and doesn't leave a mark or callous.

Regarding getting caught on things:
Oh yea. The JUC ring will get caught on things. If you run your fingers through your hair often, it will probably get caught. I don't do that but I can see it happening.
I've gotten the ring snagged and caught on so many clothes, knits, etc. So now I'm just aware of it when I put on clothes or take clothes off. Or I just put on my ring after putting on my clothes.

Echoing what everyone above says. I think getting the right size in this ring is important and depends on the anatomy of your hands. I sized down one size because the base of my finger is smaller and my knuckles are bigger…this way it fits comfortably but can’t slip off.

I wear mine 24/7 and find it very comfortable. The nail head does leave an indent but I don’t feel it at all, and actually like that this design element prevents it from spinning around - see pic. Mine does occasionally snag in hair or clothing sometimes but not too often.

I have the original size ring and I wear it 24/7. It isn’t painful at all for me. As far as leaving an indent/mark on my finger, that depends on the season. In winter it’s looser on me so no mark. But snugger in the summer so an occasional indent. I also mainly wear it so that the tail faces my wrist and the head towards the finger nails and in my experience, it doesn’t snag on things in this position.
