I really did a search before I began this new thread! There is a lot out there about jubilee bracelet on watch but not "face". The jubilee face is the one that has "rolex" written across it many times filling up face. I've seen on a blue and a black one. What do you think - plain face with no words or jubilee? There is a beautiful one in this month's Harper Bazaar which is two-tone with rose gold, jubilee bracelet, smooth bezel, and blue jubilee face with diamond markers.

I'm not crazy about the jubilee face, plus several jewelers have told me that customers have complained it makes it harder to see the markers and tell time. So, I say go with the plain one! (Or do MOP like me )

I have another rolex that is plain. Even though it is a busy face (jubilee) I think there is enough contrast with diamond markers to read the time. I think I prefer blue over black and I definitely like to be different. But this might be too different! I have to go to Borders to look at magazine picture again. I doubt if any jeweler has in stock as I've only seen 1 or 2 jubilee faces and they were both on black.

I have seen the jubilee face in person and think it is kind of cool. I didn't go with it because it was my first Rolex. Since it is your second, I think it might be a fun option. It doesn't scream the rolex logo, though I am guessing if you are open to it and considering it, you don't really mind the logo all over the face. Again, I really liked it and didn't think the logo was too in your face.
I could swear the jubilee face I saw was white... That's the color I really remember liking it in, but it's been almost a year since I got mine.
Just an FYI I got mine with a silver concentric face and love it!!! A little different without being too different. I believe they show a light blue concentric dial on Rolex's website with a platinum watch if you want to see that face.
Good luck with your decision!!

I looked at picture again - p.49 of Harper's Bazaar with Drew Barrymore on cover! I really like the watch but there is definitely a lot going on. The diamond markers totally pop. I also like concentric face in light blue but if I recall correctly, it was not a choice on 2-tone rose gold jubilee. But it was really pretty. It will be a while to save for this so just like choosing my j12, my mind can change 100 times!

I had a jubilee white face with diamond markers - I really liked it, and at the time I had no problem reading it; liked it but was trading up.

I forget if you said in the original post (just got back from Midwest, 3-day trip, jet-lag wiped out), but at the age I was then, I had no problem reading it. Now (52-today!) I wouldn't be able to read the darn thing- but I thought it was very pretty! IME it didn't seem busy because it was all one color - kind of a 'jacquard' (sp?) look.

You'll have to see it yourself to decide.

You can always change the dial at some later date if you change your mind.

I have seen in white in person, personally I don't care for it but my ad said that some people like it because from far away it has a similar shimmery look to MOP but without the price...up close I think it is a bit busy...definitely more busy then MOP. It does add interest though! It just seems a bit trendy or less classic to me then a solid face but if your looking for something unique and different it is an option...

Honestly, I like the plain face better. I don't know quite what to think of the jubilee face yet. I think the plain face is more classic and not as trendy. I think you will be happy with it years from now.

I have a white jubilee face, and in all honesty it's so subtle you can hardly see it.
