I'm currently in Torino volunteering at the Olympics and met Weir strolling around in the city, shopping like a real rockstar. He is really tiny! I was told by other athletes at the Olympic Village that he disliked the rooms there because they were too bare . What a diva... but I like him!! (even if I prefer Plush)

The women's contest was won by the Japanese Shizuka Arawaka. Sasha Cohen won the silver medal and Irina Slutskaja the bronze one.

Believe it or not ... she didn't win any singles titles, but she did in fact win a number of Doubles titles (even Wimbledon) with Martina Hingus (of Switzerland). The funny thing, is that Martina absolutely HATED Anna because she (Anna) was making a lot of money purely on her looks - not her "talent" (tennis talent that is!). However, Martina was a shrewd person and realized that they would probably get a good crowd to cheer them on if she engaged Anna as her partner. No surprise that Hingus was #1 for a number of years!
