John Legend’s suitcase with very expensive items was stolen after the Grammy-winning singer arrived at JFK Airport Thursday.
A Delta greeter accidentally forgot the bag on a luggage cart and someone grabbed it when no one was looking, the singer
confirmed via Twitter on Friday.
According to TMZ, inside the suitcase was a $30,000 pair of Cartier Panther cuff links with clear and green stones, a $500 pair of sunglasses and $500 worth of clothing.
Legend, who’s married to model
Chrissy Teigen, got his bag back, however, after cops used surveillance video to find the thief.
“Thanks to the airport police/security,”
Legend wrote, “One could say it’s been ‘handled.'”
The culprit was not identified, but Legend shot down reports that it was his livery driver that took off with the bag.
“We use a trusted car service and they did not rob me,” he explained.
A rep for Legend did not immediately return a request for comment.
