I have some david yurman pieces that I need to get polished/cleaned. I purchased them at Saks NY and was wondering if it's expensive or if I should just take them to a local jeweler?

It never dawned on my to go to a dept store for jewelry maintenance. . .
I'd rather a real jeweler do it. Have you called a Yurman store to ask what they recommend?

I had a Yurman piece sized at Saks. They sent it out, to my jeweler. The Saks is close to my town. They're just going to send it out, maybe to Yurman if they are close to a store or headquarters. They won't charge you, but it may take a long time. Mine did.

If this is silver jewelry, it's nothing at all to maintain it yourself. Polishing cloths work, as do dipping/rubbing agents sold for silver--depending on the care instructions that came with your jewelry. Just avoid any contact with set stones in the silver.
