I really need help with a gift idea for my boyfriend. I've never bought jewelry for a guy and have looked at the websites of the big designers and don't see many choices (all they seem to suggest is cufflinks). I want a sweet gift that is tasteful and sentimental, but still masculine. He doesn't wear any jewelry except for a watch and a simple band ring sometimes so it needs to be understated - nothing big or blingy. I don't want to give a watch.

The only things I've been able to think of are an engraved dog tag necklace or Cartier love bracelet or ring, but kind of worry that everyone is over these things by now. If anyone has any ideas I would love to hear them and be soooo grateful for the help.

Thanks!!!

I wish I could help! My SO will only wear cufflinks and a watch (which I only just got him to start wearing a couple months ago). No necklaces, bracelets, etc. and the only ring he would wear is a wedding band. I bought him a sterling money clip with his initials on it for our anniversary and he loves it. Probably for his birthday I'll get him cufflinks, but he doesn't dress up too often, so how many pairs does he need? Men are so hard to buy for!

Unfortunately, my DH prefers power tools.

If you think he'd like something different and a little bit edgy, check out Chrome Hearts. There's not a lot of jewelry online, but if you call one of their stores (there's one at the Forum Shops in Las Vegas), with a general idea of what you're looking for, they'll email you some things.
