I was going to order a piece from them today (the rainy day necklace) with the 20% off Mother's Day code, but finding very little reviews, I searched "babygold reddit" and what I read on a couple of different posts there gave me pause.
I'm curious to know too. At this stage of jewelry buying, I'm skeptical of most of these newer, DTC jewelry basics brands, but I wouldn't mind finding good ones. Unfortunately, they all just seem so similar to me.
I own two pairs of earrings from Baby Gold, their rose gold chubby huggies and a pair of yellow gold rabbit studs, both in 14k. Unfortunately I cannot speak to the quality of their diamonds, but their gold pieces are decent quality: high polish, sturdy craftsmanship, hallmarked with "BG 14K" etc. I would consider the quality comparable to Mejuri, the Last Line, Bloomingdale's home labels etc.
I tend to think that solid gold pieces are a safer bet in general when it comes to these DTC brands.

I ordered an initial bracelet for a friend from baby gold. It was comparable to my pieces from Mejuri. Simple 14k gold piece. Seemed solid enough.
I ordered a rose gold diamond .07 carat solitaire necklace from them. Just got it yesterday. I will get back to you on what I think after I have worn it for a few weeks!
I haven’t taken my BabyGold Diamond bezel necklace off since I got it. It’s been about a month and so far I am pleased. The diamond is a beautiful sparkle and doesn’t turn around, I never see the clasp. I just wish I asked for it to be shortened to 15” but I might take it to a jeweler and see what BabyGold says. Otherwise I love it!
Bumping up this thread - but also curious as to reputable companies that sell 14k solid gold jewelry, and have white gold and rose gold options? Is there anyone offering good quality or is the designer route my only option (I won’t be mad if it his, haha)
I have been wearing my diamond solitaire necklace since April from BabyGold and only take it off once a week to clean it. No issues at all! They offer a lot of options in rose and white gold. Hope that helps!
Thank you, it does! It seems like most companies that sell gold jewelry are not actually selling gold? I was considering Oradina but saw a bunch of posts on Reddit saying it was low quality. I’ll give baby gold a try!
I have a diamond necklace from Baby Gold that I received as a gift about 4 years ago. I wear it daily and it is still in perfect condition. I am very happy with it and love how dainty and delicate it is without being fragile.
I have a grand paper clip necklace that I’ve been wearing daily for a year. It’s held up well and I always get compliments on it. It looks much more expensive than it was. The gold weight is minimal as the links are hollow but it makes for a fine every day piece. Idk if I would buy from them again but it’s fine. No complaints
