Hello - ladies, wondering what your recommendations are for jewelry to travel with in Provence, Florence, Venice and Rome? I was thinking of Michele CSX watch with leather strap (the older design that has diamonds around the face and on the bars that hold the strap), three plain silver bangles of different widths that can be worn separately or together in different combos, some sort of long silver link necklace that can be doubled or tripled, and small silver or rhinestone studs. I keep hearing that thieves are rampant especially in Italy. Any thoughts/recommendations? :D

Don't take anything you may regret if it gets lost or stolen...also avoid anything that may attract too much attention.

I usually travel light, little jewellery and only stuff that would be easy to replace.

I ended up wearing my diamond michele CSX, CZ studs, and three georg Jensen silver bangles that I could mix and stack in different ways. No issues at all and I felt like I had everything I needed for touring, relaxing, and going out.

I think if you just dress like you normally do in a city and don't look touristy you wont be targeted by thieves.

wear what you love and what makes you feel confident and fashionable :)

be very careful as there are thieves al over touristy areas targeting tourists. Be careful when you go in and out of jewelry stores also. I've been followed. I wouldn't wear anything good. Silver is more than sufficient or use fake jewelry and cheap watch. Items get lost easily traveling, but you do not want to call attention to yourself in any way. Thieves know tourists. And make sure you do not stop to give money if asked. France is famous for the gypsies surrounding you and you can be robbed and not know it. It's done with women and children.
