I got it in cash because I needed extra pocket money. I believe it would take some time for the refund to come if you go the CC route so I never chose that for all my tax refunds.

After they take the fees for giving the refunds I found the tax break to be like 7-8%. Is that what you found as well?

I got my refund on CC a few days later (much faster compared to 3 weeks in Paris). It was a 7% refund, my CC doesn’t charge FX fees.

Interesting! I got about 7.5% by taking the cash. Wonder what it would have been if I took the credit card refund.

I was in the Isetan store in Shinjuku last week, they had a good variety colours for St Louis and Artois bags but the SA said there are no "mini bags" like mini anjou or belvedere pm.

I just went to the Ginza / Takashimaya store and they said no St Louis in any sizes or colors at all. They even told me there were none in all of Tokyo

Miss Japan a lot - found the best availability of items surprisingly at the Kyoto store. Never got to see the Nagoya stores!

Does anyone know if you can place Distant Acquisition orders in Japan (or what the shipping fee is) or order a certain bag through the store in person if a certain color is out of stock? Do they also hold certain bags if requested like in the US?
