James Franco Hilariously Disinvites, Disses Gawker Writer: You're ‘One Click Away From TMZ’

James Franco fired back at a Gawker writer who complained about being blacklisted from the premiere party for the actor-director's new documentary, “Kink.”

“Aww, did Gawker get disinvited to the ‘Kink’ party?” Franco joked Friday in an Instagram caption that ran alongside a screenshot the offending Gawker article authored by Rich Juzwiak.

Juzwiak's article, headlined “The Time We Got Disinvited from James Franco‘s Party,” was a frustrated account about being jerked around by Franco's representatives.

Franco isn't buying it. “Rich, nothing against you. I didn't even know we were supposed to talk,” he continued, “I'd be happy to talk to you if you get a job that isn't one click away from TMZ.”

In Juzwiak's piece about the premiere party, the author says he was initially approached by a Franco publicist to conduct an interview. But after J.K. Trotter ran a piece on Gawker in early August titled “James Franco Is Living With a Man,” the actor-director's camp canceled the interview. Juzwiak was also planning to attend Friday night's release party for “Kink,” but at the last minute he learned the entire Gawker staff had been blackballed.

This isn't the first sign of bad blood between the gossip and news site and the controversial heartthrob. As Juzwiak pointed out in his own article, the “beef with Gawker stretches back to at least 2008,” when the outlet addressed rumors about his sexuality and allegations of domestic violence.

As TheWrap previously reported, the Franco-produced documentary “Kink,” which hits New York theaters Friday night, gives viewers a glimpse into the world of pleasurable pain that Kink.com produces for fans of BDSM content.

“Go see ‘Kink’ this weekend,” he added in his Instagram comment, which is below.

I never know what to think about him, to be honest.

One part of him admires him because of his academical success and the career he has in the film industry - the man is clearly smart and doesn't give a damn, but on the other side, he just goes overboard at times and seems pretty arrogant.

James Franco gave Emma Roberts a big hug on Saturday as they filmed scenes together for their new film Michael in Long Island, New York.

The 36-year-old actor and 23-year-old actress teamed up again after starring together in the 2013 drama Palo Alto.

James wore a royal blue sweater and brown trousers with his short dark hair neatly partly on the side as he gave Emma a squeeze.

He was pictured with a full head of hair at a film premiere in Rome, Italy on Wednesday.

And in the wee hours of Thursday morning, James Franco had shaved it all off for the sake of his upcoming film, Zeroville.

The 36-year-old actor posted before and after selfies, with the latter image accompanied by the caption: 'Get ready for ZEROVILLE.'

The Pineapple Express star is gearing up to turn the critically acclaimed 2007 novel Zeroville by Steve Erickson into a film.

He bought the film rights in 2011 with the intent to direct, as previously reported by Variety.

The story follows 24-year-old student Vikar who shows up in Hollywood in 1969 and attempts to make it in the movie business.

Distinguishing features of his are the tattoos of A Place In The Sun stars Montgomery Clift and Elizabeth Taylor on his head.

After shaving his head for the sake of his upcoming film, Zeroville, the 36-year-old has indulged in a temporary inking to help him really get into character.

In the new movie - adapted from Steve Erickson's 2007 bestseller - the actor plays Ike Jerome, a troubled architecture student who harbours dreams of making it in Hollywood after being profoundly affected by his favourite films.

So much so, he has an image of Elizabeth Taylor and Montogomery Clift in 1951's A Place In The Sun tattooed on his shorn head.

The Milk actor showed off his new body art while wandering around the Venice Film Festival in Italy on Thursday.
