It all started yesterday....
My lovely SA at Saks informed me that J12 prices (at Saks) are increasing on April 18. Right now they have triple points and you can get zero interest on MPA account. She found a 38mm in black with rubies if I want it. I asked my jeweler's opinion on the "trend" of ceramics. He informed me about the new titanium J12 to be coming out in June. After looking at pictures on the internet, I think I like the new one. But do you ladies think the black with rubies is prettier/nicer/better? TIA! BTW, I have a plain white 38mm J12 and a black with diamond markers 33mm J12.

Honestly, I think 3 J12's is overkill. I would get something else. Unless you really really want to collect J12's. I have one and if I got another watch it would be a Rolex or Cartier. If you are going to sell the other black one than yes go for it. But there is hardly a difference in the rubies and diamond markers. IMO.

I love the ruby markers and I don't think it's too much at all. I also have two J12's and took a peak at the new J12 Chrono and debating between that and the Rolex Daytona. You are becoming a watch enthusiast and it's your thing...it works for you ;)

My husband has over a dozen watches and he will never stop collecting them...he says that he is leaving them to our boys.

I can't wait to see the pictures.

So happy to get all these replies so quickly! I thought I was being obnoxious by starting yet another J12 thread. But I value ALL of your comments. The price is increasing by about $500. But now I think I should wait for the titanium again!

I personally wouldn't add another black to my J12 collection. I mean the ruby markers are lovely, but its a small difference in the overall look for the watch.

I think you should go for a totally different look, with either the Titanium, or as SJUNKY stated, something else completely.

Seems like you have your heart set on a J12, so my opinion is to wait for the Titanium and not be rushed into getting the ruby one to beat the price increase. :D

OP, I have the same problem. I want the black one but once I heard about the new titanium I thought I would just wait to see what it looks like. I don't think I would want 3 J12s.

Glad to hear you're waiting on the titanium! I think the blk ruby J12 is too similar to the one you already own, I'm really liking the pics of the titanium my DH even thought it looked nice since there is nothing really out there like it now, it will be the first of its kind just like the original J12s were when they came out! I love Chanel!!!
