I've heard that vernis leather peels ?

at the edges after a while. I really don't want to spend that much on something that isn't going to last. Is it just how careful you are or do all vernis do this eventually?

hmmm... I don't know about them peeling "eventually" but when i got mine the edges were indeed quite scratchy, so I had to peel off the excess glazing

this has not happened to any of my pieces yet. I hope this isn't true.
