We had them mentioned on the household insurance,so they are covered in and out of the house.Well,only one out at a time though!! But we made sure that they are all named,as thats where they are pretty much all the time,and I'm covered when I have one out with me.
Mine are actually named on the policy because "specified personal possessions' are £1,000 upwards - each. My watch, Eternity Ring and some old jewels are listed separately, but my bags are just covered under Personal Possessions.
I remember when I was a reporter doing police calls & there was a report of a woman who'd had her bag stolen. Distinctly remember the value was put at £500 and all these policemen & male reporters were horrified & dumbstruck that a bag & contents could be worth that much. Oh, if only they knew......I added the value of what I was carrying today, bag & contents, and nearly keeled over.
