For her parents gift, I think the Chanel flap is the the absolute best choice. It's not a clutch and can be worn with everything from jeans to an evening dress.

For your gift, no-one has mentioned this yet, but pink is also very hot this year. A little over your budget, but my absolute fav is the Bottega Veneta woven hobo in the magnolia color.

Also, when you look at colored bags, don't forget red, I think it's the most versatile color for bags.
