  1. Reading TPF and looking at other social media it seems you are unlikely to be able to buy any Kelly or Birkin, let alone one that matches your exact wishes or have the opportunity to make a special order, if you just go to a Hermes store.

    Then there are the stories of waiting in the 'bag queue' for hours, only to be told, "We don't have any of those today; try again tomorrow."

    In order to get the exact bag they want without waiting, many buyers go to a reseller where they will pay a hefty premium as well.

    The control and quotas that Hermes imposes on buyers, because of limited supply and to prevent speculative purchasing, is well described on this forum.

    post 24 had a picture from Ebay before most TPFers believed the bags were in the stores.
    So, where do the resellers source their bags? Brand new; date stamped 2015/16; with protective hardware film still intact.
