Italics leather bags?

Has anybody after use italics yet? They claim to be selling products that are essentially name brand but without the branding for a lesser price.

Has anybody attempted to purchase yet? What are your thoughts?

I do not know if they are saying it is the same bag as the respective brand name (very interesting), or if they are saying it is the same quality as the respective brand name (interesting, but scary), or if they are simply saying it was made in the same factory (100% scary).

Does aanyone have thoughts or stories to share?

I believe they are only saying it is made in the same factory. There was a discussion thread about them when they were first announced; not too much interest here. I doubt they have the same quality assurance as brand names that do use them.

My impression is that their business functions the same way as Beauty Pie does for cosmetics/skincare. Since you don’t pay for marketing or the brand itself and you DO pay a membership fee, it’s feasible the price of the goods will be much lower.

Most Purse Forum members know that most luxury brands share factories with other brands anyway, and we are paying a premium for the brand name by itself, so there’s nothing necessarily sketchy about Italic’s business model.

(Also, I assume, you won’t be able to buy the same designs as say a Celine bag; the point is just that the quality will be the same.)
