Is Coach going to rely on "one bag" so showcase their goods? It may just be me, but I feel like right now the only Coach bag I see in advertisements and features is the Swagger. An okay bag, but it seems like all of their energy is going to one bag which seems short sighted to me. (previous to the Swagger it seemed to be the Rhyder).

I also noticed that the displays in department stores and in some of the Coach FP stores seem to have no identity. The department store options I have seen are very bland, and the FP store seems to be lacking as well.

I understand they are trying to narrow down their handbag styles, but it seems a bit too much for me right now.

I don't think this is quite true. I got an email from Coach today about Edie.

They did something similar when they came out with Phoebe and then with the Borough. There were still plenty of other styles available.

This is pretty common with all designers...... Every brand has an iconic "it" bag or they focus on a certain bag for a few seasons... Fendi peekaboo, louis vuitton soft lockit, louis vuitton speedy, balenciaga city bag, dior lady dior. Coach did the same thing with the borough recently. The swagger just happens to be the bag they chose to lead their spring campaign.

I get so tired of seeing the same bag in coach promotions. It actually makes me not want the bag they're pushing so hard. I didn't like the borough, and when I wanted a phoebe I changed my mind because I'd seen it so much.
