I have 4 of these NS totes and this is the only one with the flap.
Ordered from Macys, back ordered, but it seems like they pulled it from a store that had it available.
I like it, doesn't ruin it for me just wondering why this has it and none other.
Anyone else know?

You should asked the MK store associate if this is a New lock or maybe that particular bag only...my MK Hamilton satchel in black is just the regular lock but I bought that last year so maybe they are changing it..?

I think its the new closure for the hamiltons in saffiano. All the ones I saw in Macys last weekend including the speccios had this type of closure and I personally do not like it. It gets in the way of the wide opening of the bag.

That's the same on my small specchaio Hamilton and thought the same thing

I think it's the new season because I have a vanilla saffiano and it doesn't have this flap closure

New season definitely. I was goggling all over the bags yesterday at MK and noticed the difference. I don't know how I feel about it because I'm usually digging through my bag looking for things and it has to open easily!

Yes, it´s new. I have it on my new navy and I like the older closure more. But I love the Hamilton so I think I will enjoy and will be accustomed.
I think thieves have an easier game.

o.k. Today I went in the MK shop and they have the Hamilton navy with the old lock. And I think over if I will returns my navy with the new closure or not. And I decided: No! The new lock looks different and so I will enjoy him.
