I purchased a Gucci Marmont Velvet bag at Neiman Marcus for a gift. They do not provide boxes, i know this from firsthand experience. However, this is a gift & velvet is fragile which is why i am wondering if i should reach out to the Gucci store?

Unless you have an established relationship with a Gucci SA, they will most likely not give you boxes (they are scared of people selling them online). You can definitely bring the receipt and it doesn’t hurt to ask.

They have very little to do with each other. If you're well known at Gucci there's still a chance they'll give you a box but go when they're not busy.
