I’ve bought this vintage Louis Vuitton from someone who bought it from a consignment store. This date code looks wrong to me and I haven’t been able to find any images where the letters are above the numbers.
According to the consignment store this from 1980s, 89 being the year and 12 being the month. And MB is the country. I’ve only really seen sources say that the letters should be AFTER the numbers except only one website.
I’ve put in the LV date code calculate and it says invalid, but the consignment store (and their authenticator) are insistent it is a real date code.
Can anyone offer some help or have you seen this before? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!!
