I'm a wholesale newb but....

Help me out here,

I was thinking of buying some wholesale lots and taking them to a local swap meet:

I always see girls in this claires by my house and I'm wondering if you guys think these are a good deal, look at how cheap these people are selling wholesale jewelery for on Ebay:

I saw another person selling $100 worth of claires stuff and they keep hitting like 20-40.

So is this a decent deal?

Thanks in advance.

It all depends. Is there a market for this stuff? If there is and the price per item is enough to justify it where you can at least make back what you spend (and I assume you hope more), then maybe it is worth it to you. But if you can buy a huge lot for that price, so can anyone else w/ internet access.

My two cents for what it is worth.

1.) If you are buying 50 unique pieces, it seems like a lot of effort to make a listing and photograph each individual item to sell on a website. Unless it is 100 pieces of the same item that you can make one template for and carry as inventory.

2.) These may sell great, but it's a tough sell to get "tweens" and other people to buy small items for $1, $3, $4 when they still have to pay another $4-8 for shipping. Unless they are buying a ton of jewelry, they will probably not want to pay $4-6 to ship a $2 item.
