Is this a deal? Cassette bag

I came across this consigned black padded cassette bag in pretty good condition - some scratches on interior but otherwise fine. The price after some bargaining is a little over $1900 USD. I wasn’t really in the market for a cassette bag, particularly in black, but I’m sure I’d use it quite a bit, especially since it’s somewhat broken in. I usually don’t get anything unless I’m 100% but I keep thinking about it…
I did read the other thread about the cassette being dated which was a bit worrisome. Help?

Maybe not a deal but price seems ok especially if you love and will wear it a lot. For me it's a great bag to wear over a big coat. I admired it recently on a friend a few months ago. The padded with chain is more dated to me. I am actually eyeing a regular black lambskin for next winter

It looks good on you and I like the bag; however, I don’t love it. It fits very little but looks like a medium sized bag. That irks me a bit, because I feel like I am carrying a medium sized bag but it functions like a small/almost mini sized bag. Also the leather is not as carefree as one may hope for an everyday bag. I love the triangle buckle though and it looks great in black!

Dated !? Ahaha … I have 3 padded cassette bag and 1 chain I love all , especially the chain, and now they are a classic ! The price grow up in these years : the first time was 1990 euro and now it’s 3500 euro and probably will grow up in the next days … dated !? come on it’s dated just for fast fashion people !
