Is there anyway to fix a rip in LV canvas?

There is a vintage bag i'm looking at but it has a small rip in the canvas. Could a cobbler repair it??

Unfortunately, I don't think there is. Once it's in the canvas, there really isn't anything they can do to it without making it rip even worse. That's why at the LV store when there's a piece that's cracked near the stitching that goes too far up, they won't fix it because it has the potential to crack even more.
