Is there a way to temporarily shorten tennis necklace?

I have a 16.5” diamond tennis necklace it’s perfect for everyday wear.

But sometimes, I want to pull it up so it appears closer to the neck. Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance!

While waiting for further replies, might I suggest you search online…type in ‘necklace shortener’ and some visual ideas/options pop up. Also, perhaps you can call your jeweler for suggestions/options based on your necklace.GL.

Beautiful necklace, it looks great on you. I can’t see a way you could temporarily shorten it as it is, but maybe take it to a jeweller to see if they can solder on a link at the back an inch or two down the necklace that you can fasten the clasp to for when you want it shorter?
