Is The Swagger Carryall Tote As Heavy As The a Regular Swagger?

I fell in love with this bag and ordered it sight unseen on the L&T Signature Sale for a great price in the Oxblood with Gold Hardware. It looks absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to get it! Problem is when I looked at the shipping notice it said that the package weighed 3-1/2 pounds. I loved the original Swagger but once I loaded it up with all my "stuff" it felt like a box of rocks.

I will make an effort to scale down to make this bag work but I do need more than my license, a credit card, keys and a stick of gum. Anybody own this beautiful bag that can tell me if its hard to carry?

I know someone mentioned in the Swagger Clubhouse that this style is lighter than the regular Swagger. Empty, it only felt slightly heavier than my large Madeline empty. I am adjusting to the extra weight, but it's not that bad.

Edited to add: It was abwd who said the Carryall is lighter. She could probably give you more help than I can.

Thank you so much for your post, bags like the Madeline and this Swagger are worth adjusting for, they are so beautiful. I may have found a new innovative way to build the strength of my bones by lifting this new heavy bag! It's got to better for you than the meds lol!

When I first got the Madeline, my arm was a little sore after carrying it for long stretches, but that went away with time. With this bag, I am noticing the same effect, but it's not as noticeable as it was with the Madeline. Since I typically carry my bags with my right arm, it's probably better developed than my left arm.

I think it is definitely lighter then my other swaggers. It doesn't have the zipper and leather on top and the extra strap. Also, it sits so much higher on your shoulder so I think it distributes the weight more on your shoulders as opposed to your middle back. I definitely felt a difference, but haven't weighed them for comparison.

Thank you so much for your post, your collection of swaggers are magnificent! The croc embossed is tdf! I am going to learn to carry less because I just love this bag! Hope to get it today, I'm standing guard at the door because NJ is having a nor'easter today and I don't want a drop of water on the box lol! Not complaining since hopefully we aren't getting a visit from Joaquin!
