I love the whiskey, too but I actually don't have a black or dark grey bag. I'm just a bit scared that the paddy is a bit too much of a fashion item. I gave myself another 2 weeks to really think about it before I buy her. Now my mind is just spinning around the grey paddy. Has anyone of you ever purchased at net-a-porter and know what the black box is they give you?

I really love the light blue color. But I am worried that this bag is too "trendy" and will be out in the next few months, and I will be stuck with a bag that is "last season." This doesn't bother me with my other bags, but the Paddington is quite unique and not a "classic line" bag...or do you think it will become a classic item in and of itself. Chloe certainly seems to be creating an uproar and huge demand...they are on to something.

Ohhh, I remember reading about you getting your new black bag. It was missing leather?! what happened?

It was missing leather, so it looked like there was a small hole or a deep gash in it, the hardware was also scratched. They tried to give me some BS like thats the way its supposed to be, but it was unacceptable to me. I got a refund and was put back on the list, they called over a month later but I had already lost interest  :Push:

^^ That sucks!!

I don't think the Paddy is too heavy. You don't have to lock it everytime, but you can. Many times I just leave it unlocked for easier access.

I never lock mine... I'd be to lazy to open it everytime I wanted to get into it. I guess it's kinda heavy but I'm used to lifting MUCH heavier things so it doesn't bother me, I'm sure it's something you would get used to. The dark grey is a nice color, I was considering it when I purchased mine, but I deceided to go with the cream instead.

the cream I love too but I'm scared because of the dirt. Ete: thats what I was thinking about the light blue. It's a wonderful colour but I don't have much to match with and because i think the paddy isn't a classic bag I want to have a "classic" clolour with it. But I believe that they"ll hang around at least another 2 years.

there is a beautiful authentic chocolate brown one lightly used on ebay right now. I can 't access ebay at work so I can't give you the link but I was thinking what a great deal. It may have been by seller LVlady but I'm not sure. just search chocolate brown paddy. The real paddy in brown you can tell the red tones and leather pretty easily from the fakes. I love my paddy and don't think it is too heavy but today I carried my city after carrying the paddy for so long and it feels so light it is strange. just think of the arm workout you're getting without going to the gym.

Actually now that I think about it, since it is a non-classic bag, why not go for the non-traditional color? Has anyone seen the light blue in person? I have seen photos, and in some it looks more sky or baby blue, while in others it looks like more of a grey blue. Can anyone describe the color? The blue is so much prettier than the brown...I just think it adds something to the bag. The chocolate is lovely, too...and I have not seen it to see the red tones, but I keep going back to the blue.

I would like to spoil myself with a paddy and I was just wondering if it's hard to carry around because of the padlock? I tried the paddy with the extra zipped compartment and that was way to heavy for being a comfy bag. I really love the look of this bag but for this $$$ is has to be comfy. What are your experience with it? I'm torne between the dark grey, light blue and off white. Opinions please! Probably the darkgrey would match everything and isn't sensitive to dirt. I love it:love:  .
Thanks for helping!!
I don't think it is too heavy as long as you don't put too many things in it while you are shopping. I have the chocolate one which I love, and I keep hearing how great the whiskey color is. I think the gray is beautiful, but so is the cream and the blue one. I think they are ALL great colors! (this probably didn't help much:amuse: )

i think paddy is really lovely!!!!!!i love my dark silver one, it's very comfortable and goes with anything.....i don't find she's heavy, maybe just because i don't carry it for the whole day.....i'm really considering the idea of buying a red or an indigo one....which one should i choose????!!!!
I think the red one is fabulous!!!

Well, thanks to this post I talked myself into the light blue Paddington. Even if it's not a classic bag, the color is fun and since Pheobe Philo is "retiring" it may be the last chance I have! Does anyone have this color? Does it need to be treated since it is such a light color?

My bf just bought me a silver paddington from net-a-porter. It comes in a beautiful black box and a chloe dustbag and ofcourse the paddington.

I just ordered a light blue satchel as well from Nordstrom. The SA told me she felt that the blue was really more of a "special edition" color, since chloe heardly repeats their shades of colors each year, and she felt that this blue would definitely be neutral enough to go with more. She definitely said she's chose blue over off white. I was convinced, but of course I also had her send me the off white hobo paddington, just so I could compare in person. Hope this helps.
