So I called my SA at beverlyhills and I finally got through today. I had previously left two messages which had not been returned. When I asked about the status of the black jige that I have been on the wait list for since March she informed me that for the past three weeks they haven't received any shipments. Apparently because of the government shutdown, the packages have not been able to clear customs and be delieved to the store. Has anyone else heard something like this?

A few weeks ago she told me that they were doing inventory and hadn't received shipments as a result. I'm so confused and don't know what to believe.

Rsen and Chestnutty,

I don't believe information you concluded or were given is off or incorrect. Chestnutty you are indeed correct that Hermes shipments within the continental U.S. are shipped via Fedex. However, when something arrives at customs and the ports, the shipment must be inspected by U.S. Customs, who are in fact employed by the Federal Government. Since Fed Gov. has been shut down for 16+/- days, it is not surprising that there has been a delay, hence, the lack of inventory items in boutiques.

That is correct.
