I'm not sure what is happening or why, but this chap on my nano speedy seems to be coming off, or peeling? The sides feel soft and the corners do not feel sharp, however the sides of the other chaps are fine and feel firm. I've only had it for a year and half, and haven't used it regularly.

Is it a faulty bag? I can't imagine it to be wear and tear as I'm quite careful with it. Will LV repair it for free?

The edgepaint is also very faint all around, looks as if it were rubbed extensively, while on the handle itselft looks still perfectly intact. Suspicious. If it was done by you (and heavy use) that would also show on the leather front. And on the handles and other chaps too. Leather can be like this, if it was cut from a less ‘dense’ edge of the cowhide, I assume it wasn’t inspected thoroughly during production, but I doubt that they will do a free repair after 1,5 years. Unless you have a very lovely and friendly Sales Associate. On the bright side, it should be only around a 100 dollars tops.

Thank you so much for your reply!
Do you think it will get worse?
I will take it by the store and see what they say -_-

The same is happening to my nano speedy. :crybaby:
What did you do with your nano speedy? Were you able to get it fixed?

I took it in to store but they said its normal wear and tear. I wanted to have the chaps replaced and was willing to pay for it but my client advisor suggested I continue using it and it should be fine, but if it does get worse I can always have it replaced.

Mine is doing this as well but only on 1 side. I'm going to text my CA and see what he says. I’ve had it for about 2 weeks and used it maybe 5 times only. I feel it's the glazing or lack of it.

Oh no, I'm sorry to see this happen so soon with your nano! I remember reading from other threads that you removed the straps of your bag right? Will you be attaching it back before bringing it in for repair or replacement?

Yes I did remove the straps of my bag, literally just a few days ago. Lol  . I'm going to check with my SA. I already told him I was going to remove it and he told me he didn't see an issue of me taking it in if I did have a problem. We shall see right?! Lol. I'll make sure to let everyone know in case anyone is interested. I don't see how they can exchange it as there are NONE to exchange and I seriously doubt they would as the strap is removed. What will they do with MY bag with no strap? Lol. Stay posted!

Good news people! My SA said I can get my bag repaired eventhough I removed my strap. He initially told me that BEFORE I removed it but I still felt it may be risky. I did it anyway as that's how bad I wanted that old nano speedy with NO strap!  He said I can take it to any LV (he is 1.5 hrs away and I have one 15 mins away) or take it to his location to the atelier shop as it will be much faster as they only do repairs that go there. So I will be driving there next week. He told me the strap being removed won't affect it! Since the strap was attached to the D rings on the side of the bag removing the strap wouldn't have an affect the chaps. He is sending my pictures to his manager just to make her aware of the situation as well. I just L:heart:VE my SA! I told him I want him on alert just in case I get crazy looks:wtf::eek:and refusal at the atelier shop when they see me hand over my nano speedy with NO STRAP! LOL

Oh no :/
please let us know what they say

Well I dropped my nano speedy off at the atelier at so coast plaza mall so they can repair or replace my chaps. As I mentioned, I removed my strap (I have the old nano speedy with undetachable strap) and although my SA and his manager stated it wouldn’t be an issue, I still was not convinced. Thankfully, it was NOT an issue. They were leaning on having me pay $65 per chap as they stated it was being rubbed, possibly by my jeans as there was a little color transfer. I told her yes that is possible, but isn't this a crossbody bag? It will rub. How else am I supposed to wear it, hand held? I told her this bag is meant to be worn as a crossbody and it's less then 1 month old AND I only used it 5 times. There should be no evidence of wear yet. With that statement I made she then stated there will be no charge and I pushed for all chaps (6) to be replaced as I don't want an issue later. I asked her if they can be glazed over more as the glazing on the edge is very very faint. She stated that they do not glaze chaps but will give me new chaps. I said well if they will end up being done the same way mine are now, I'll have the same problem later. She told me to be mindful of how I use the bag. Well, I am mindful. I care for my bags already. Anyway, I am hoping the leather chaps will be better and if it is returned with faint glazing again, I will take it somewhere and get some opinions. I don't want the chaps looking all tore up in less then a year! I asked if I could pay for my vachetta strap I removed to get clips attached. Lol. Of course they said no as they do not modify a style. I figured that but I wanted to ask anyway. Also this is the kicker. She said it could take 6 to 8 months to get my bag back! That's almost 1 year! That's insane! For chaps!? I told my SA and he was really frustrated with them. He is going to look into this and try to get it expedited. I asked the lady helping with my repair request if it was being shipped off somewhere like France. She said no, it local.:wtf::eek: 6 to 8 months for local repair!? :tdown:Wow and woW again backwards!:annoyed:
