I really like the Andiamo bag but I was wondering if this is a timeless classic bag or is it just the current it bag that will die out in a few years? For instance, Chanel classic flap has always been popular and in demand whereas 10 years ago the givenchy antigona was the “it” bag celebrities were wearing and I don’t see it popular at all anymore. Is the Andiamo a timeless classic bag or will it die out with the current hype/trend?

Will newer bags eventually replace the Andiamo on social media? Absolutely. Brands and influencers will alway push newer styles to the forefront of our minds. This is by design.
Will the Andiamo eventually be discontinued? More than likely, but I think it will remain popular for another year or two. It's also quite possible it will be revived later, just at the Knot and Lauren were. In the few years I've followed Bottega Veneta, I've never seen a style that is a consistent house staple, such as a Chanel Classic Flap or an Hermes Birkin. All styles seem to disappear from the boutiques eventually. I think Bottega will always have a hobo in their lineup - that seems to be their classic silhouette.
Perhaps most important - Is the Andiamo classic in style and wearable for years to come? I'd say so - especially in a neutral color. I own many Bottega Veneta bags for this reason. Some of my bags are almost 20 years old, but they look just as beautiful now as they did when they were introduced.
If the Andiamo style works well for your lifestyle, then I think it could be a bag you enjoy for many years. Good luck with your decision!

With the constant musical chairs of creative directors and brands consistently pushing out new bag styles to see what sticks, it’s hard to say any new style will become a classic these days. However, the shape and structure of the Andiamo is pretty timeless in my opinion that I don’t think it will look dated in years to come. The knot detail could make it look dated if BV gets rid of that soon. I still really love mine and wish I had also bought the small chamomile (yellow) when that previously came out 😭
I don’t think it will look dated exactly but unlikely to be as classic as a TM era Veneta or a Cabat. Those are IMO timeless BV styles and I still carry mine from nearly 20 years ago. I still buy BV occasionally but I don’t find the leather as supple and delicious as it was then and regret some of the timeless but not classic older designs I bought and sold that would now be vintage and still lovely. If you love the Andiamo, I think it could fall inti that category, but will never be as timeless in the sense of something that looks like you bought it recently even if you bought it 15 or 30 years afo
I have been eyeing the Andiamo Small for quite some time in Sapele... I love woven bags, but tend to only use them in the Spring/summer. This may be the year to get it. I have used either a cross body bag or small tote /top handle as my signature style for quite some time now. So for me, A woven tote bag is timeless for my style.
I’m leaning towards not a classic. I really think that hardware will look dated.
I love mine. I find them super classic but the hardware knot might be a problem in a few years time...
