This may be a dumb question, but when I was at the outlet on Sunday buying the oxblood gramercy satchel 33549; the SA told me that the divider panel in the bag is made out of wood.

I was a bit skeptical but I have to admit that it looks like wood - but I would think that the bag would be heavy if it had a piece of wood in it; and it doesn't seem all that heavy.

So is it made of wood or just leather that looks like wood; anyone know?

Frankly, I think that looks like wood; don't know if that's what they use, but paulownia, for example, is pretty light weight, and the Japanese use it for their traditional sandals, and boxing to make items presentable.

It is wood, when it first came out I inspected and actually tapped it. The SAs were shocked, It's a nice touch to the bag.

Thanks, it is a nice detail to find in a very pretty bag!
