Kate Spade Is something wrong with my new bag?

I just got a Cecil Court Bobi, which I haven't taken out yet. I noticed two of these things on the bottom of the bag - like areas where two pieces of leather met and were peeling.

Here's a picture of one because I probably don't sound very clear.

Am I just being nitpicky?

Lots of bags come with the tag detached and tucked in the pocket. Go back with the receipt and exchange for the same one! That defect would kill the joy of owning that bag for me!

My patent leather kate spade bag has that problem too. Cheap manufacturing in China = poor(er) quality, no matter how much we pay :/
