hi ladies, now that hello2703 has authenticated the bag, and after surfing tpf for more info on ostrich colours, im a lil puzzled as to whether ostrich did come in rouge garrance? been doing research on tpf and have not seen a rouge garrance ostrich birkin...

I have seen gorgeous pictures of ostrich birkins in rouge vif and rouge exotique, but not one in rouge garrance yet...

so can i trouble the kind ladies here to educate me whether the colour is correctly stated as rouge garrance or is the colour another rouge instead?

I've read somewhere that mimaction has sold bags that have bee redyed. I don't know if H redyed it or someone else. I don't know if this ostrich you are referring to is or not. Maybe call H and see what they say. What I do know is Rouge Garrance (in any leather) is not offered anymore. Only Rouge H and Bougainvillier is.

thanks anin888! i am seriously considering buying the birkin from mimiaction, and im getting concerned that the rouge garrance ostrich birkin may not be the original colour, though hello2703 has authenticated it as an authentic H birkin...

I don't want to scare you off from buying the bag. It's lovely and in great shape. It could be RG or another color...
I'm not very experienced with reds. I would love to have a RG someday.

thanks anin888! i appreciate your comments, and i would rather hear the truth than face regret...i really like the birkin and wanted comfort that the ostrich birkin does exist in rouge garrance before committing...

im not so worried about authenticity as it has been verified on tpf as much as whether the colour is the original colour..

anyone else can chip in with their opinions would be appreciated!

no rouge g in ostrich BUT that does not mean much resellers are nototious for lavbeling colors wrongly etc unfortunately i can not open your link so i can not say what red it is

I was hoping that you would chime in with your expert opinion, and i think someone up there heard me :)

i checked with another Tpf member, and she confirmed its rouge vif, definitely not rouge garance...the colour was labelled wrongly, obviously..

i saw this listing, it's a beautiful color esp in ostrich.....I only know that the seller redye the bags for chanel especially, not so much on hermes.
