I think there was an older thread regarding this.
Found the thread: http://forum.purseblog.com/bottega-...olours-at-saks-incl-large-venetas-601714.html

Yes, I believe that "plum" is opera.

Saks also calls it "plum".
Their selection of BV in "plum".

A large Veneta in "plum" on Saks.

I saw an accessory at Saks in what looks like purple, but it didn't have a tag, so the SA couldn't identify the color. It was probably the "plum".

Hi. When I spoke to the SA at the BV store in NYC he mentioned that Opera is a beautiful color and is a plumy-brown.

It is so hard when they call things differently on websites. Like, on the BV website their cervo hobo is the $1400 one (I believe) but on Sak's website it says the cervo is $1750 (I think) and looks different but then they have a braided hobo for $1400. I do wish they would call everything the same thing so it isn't as confusing

Sorry, the links don't work. I don't know how to post the Saks picture, either.

I wanted to correct myself. The accessory at Saks was purple looking, at least under the lighting conditions in the store. It definitely wasn't Ink, because they had a large Veneta in Ink and they were completely different shades. They had cardinal and a green, which I think was bottle. So, I'm guessing that other color was plum. It's a mystery. Even the Saks SA was frustrated that Saks doesn't use the appropriate names for the colors!

I know exactly what you mean about that Cervo Hobo and the other bag! During the Saks sale, I was looking for the Cervo Hobo in Anemone. I called one Saks store and spent almost 15 minutes talking to a confused SA. She tracked down an Anemone, but since Saks called it the Cervo Hobo, even though it wasn't, I tried to clarify and said the one I was looking for was regularly $1,400. The other one is like a hobo, but obviously not the same bag, based on the higher price. It's so aggravating not only for the customers, but for the SAs as well, with all the different names for colors AND styles. :confused1:
