Is my Tiffany DBTY bezel round?

Hi ladies,

Just picked up my dbty pendant today from the store and ever since I came home with it I just kept looking at it.. I don't know if my mind/eyes are just playing tricks with me. Sometimes it looks completely round but other times I'm not too sure. I've attached some close up pictures for all of you to view so maybe you guys can help me judge. There's a larger close up that makes the bezel look kind of off, but in some other pictures it seems to look fine.....erg!!! maybe it's just me but please help :(

The 2nd one indicates that it is not perfectly round. But I will tell you that it's likely you will never find one perfectly round from any vendor, period. Bezels are hand made. They're not going to be 100% round, smooth or perfect every time.

Thanks for your reply ame. Based on what you saw in my photos, do you think it's very off? Or it's considered acceptable/better than most? Thanks

Not very off. I am anal retentive so I would want to see what else was available before I just settled on it, but I am more concerned about the quality of the diamond vs just the bezel. You could see what other options are available to compare it to before you just accept it, and weigh the diamond vs the bezel. The diamond would be more important to me than the bezel, esp since from slightly farther out it looks fine.

Okay. Thanks ame. I'm visiting the store again later today to compare the bezel with the others of a similar size and I will make a decision then. :) My SA did say the same thing -- about how it is hand crafted and not done by machinery so that's why it is hard to be 100% perfect and what I have is probably close to as round as it can be. I guess I was just being anal about it as well. Come to think of it, if I had decided to go for a bigger stone and bought from blue nile I might have been very upset with their bezel if I'm not even satisfied with Tiffany's! LOL
